Café Europa to Open Second Location in Union Hill – 435 Magazine

June 30, 2016

After eight years of success in the Crestwood neighborhood, chef Nate Feldmiller and general manager Dan Weber have announced plans to expand Café Europa, their popular restaurant and bakery, to Union Hill, just south of downtown.

The second location will open in a 31,000-square-foot, street-level space in the new McGee Building on Gillham Road between 29th and 30th streets. The building includes 150 free garage parking spots and ample street parking. The outdoor seating area will be pet-friendly and perfect for people-watching.

Café Europa will add a daily casual breakfast in addition to its seasonal lunch and dinner menus. Several specialty items will be created for the new location, which will feature a street-facing kitchen for baked goods, with a private dining space, café seating and a market of prepared and to-go foods. The space will also have an intimate, full-service bar.

The restaurant is the first tenant for the new retail spaces in the loft lifestyle building. It overlooks The Filling Station and the historic Greenlease Cadillac Building. Café Europa is slated to open in September.
