Food Truck Fridays continue at Union Cemetery on May 20, sponsored by Union Hill
Monthly Friday lunches feature popular Kansas City food trucks, green space and views of Kansas City
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (May 17, 2016) – Back by popular demand, Union Hill announces its sponsorship of Food Truck Fridays at Union Cemetery will continue Friday, May 20. The events are held at Union Cemetery in Union Hill from 11 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. on the third Friday of each month through August.
Food Truck Friday directly benefits the Union Cemetery Historical Society (UCHS) with 10 percent of proceeds donated back to enhance the beauty and preserve Union Cemetery’s history. The lunches are hosted at the picnic tables in Union Cemetery, featuring at least three different food trucks each month. One lucky attendee will be selected at each Food Truck Friday to receive a complimentary lunch at the following month’s event.

Union Cemetery is part of the Kansas City Missouri Parks & Recreation Department and is Kansas City’s oldest public cemetery. UCHS preserves the legacies and shares the stories of civic leaders, founding families and generations of Kansas Citians through self-guided tours of the cemetery and speaking at civic organizations. UCHS oversees documenting and ensuring the history of the families and their Kansas City contributions while also maintaining Union Cemetery as a public green space with walking paths.
