Union Hill’s Fairfield Inn & Suites unveils $2.5 million renovation

Updates include new guestrooms, fitness equipment and business center

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (May 9, 2016) – Union Hill’s locally-owned Fairfield Inn & Suites announces the completion of its $2.5 million renovation. Upgrades and enhancements include a complete renovation to all guest rooms, an expanded fitness room with state-of-the-art equipment and a new business center for the travelling businessman.

Fairfield Inn & Suites undertook the major renovation in order to elevate the guest experience. Already a neighborhood hotel with access to the locally-owned restaurants in Union Hill, including The Drop Bar & Bistro and Tower Tavern, Fairfield Inn & Suites is conveniently located within Union Hill’s 16 city blocks. Additionally, it is within walking distance to Crown Center, the Crossroads Arts District and the new Kansas City Streetcar stop at Union Station to easily access performing arts venues, downtown and the River Market.

The full list of renovations include:

  • A complete renovation of all 115 guest rooms, including vanities, furniture and mattresses
  • A new business center with internet access, printing capabilities and computers
  • A 700-square-foot expanded fitness room with new equipment
  • A former meeting room conversion into a breakfast dining area
  • An expanded Market area with a variety of new food and beverage choices
  • Exterior enhancements

Specifically, guest room renovations include new paint and wallpaper, granite vanities, bathtubs, showers and new Serta mattresses. The fitness room expanded to include equipment by Matrix Fitness, featuring two treadmills and one elliptical with personal televisions; free weights by Hampton Fitness ranging from five to 50 pounds; stability balls by SPRI; and medicine balls by SPRI ranging from four to 12 pounds.

Renovations recently completed and Fairfield Inn & Suites will officially celebrate with a Grand Re-Opening on May 12.
