CAFÉ EUROPA EXPANDS INTO UNION HILL – This is KC

May 20, 2016

Fans of Crestwood Shop’s Café Europa will soon have more to love. A second location of the restaurant and bakery is set to open in September in Union Hill. In addition to serving chef-driven, seasonal lunch and dinner items from the original location, the new outpost will feature dishes created for Union Hill and add breakfast service and a market of prepared and to-go foods. It will also boast a private dining space and outdoor, pet friendly seating.

Chef Nate Feldmiller and general manager Dan Weber announced the expansion and will now serve as owners.

“We thank Dan and Nate for their stewardship of Cafe Europa,” original owners Andy Atterbury and Gwyn Prentice said in a statement. “They are the heart of Café Europa and we are thrilled for them to officially own what they have created as they continue to grow.”

The eatery will occupy 3,100 square feet of retail space in Union Hill’s new McGee Building, located on Gillham Road between 29th and 30th streets, part of the latest stage of development for the neighborhood.
